Located at the NBN Telethon Mater Institute in Newcastle, the Australia & New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group (ANZBCTG) is Australia's national research organisation dedicated to the design and conduct of national and international, multi-centre, breast cancer clinical trials.

The ANZBCTG has been conducting its research program for more than 30 years, and this position offers an opportunity to join this leading research team as Postgraduate Fellow.

The Fellow will have an active involvement with ANZBCTG's national and international breast cancer clinical trials and will participate in the development, implementation and conduct of the clinical trials and translational program components of ANZBCTG research program.

Essential criteria:

  • Primary medical degree, registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA).
  • Completion, or near completion, of postgraduate training in surgical, radiation or medical oncology.

This position is for three (3) days per week and for the successful applicant to arrange their own clinical management workload outside of this appointment, and will initially be for a period of 12 months with eligibility for re-appointment up to a maximum term of two years.
