We offer more than 400 courses, from Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)/Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL)/ Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS), through to nationally accredited qualifications such as certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, degrees, graduate certificates, graduate diplomas and short courses.
 
ABOUT THE ROLE 
 
You will be accountable for conducting Chisholm-led research projects, facilitating research design in a multi-disciplinary workforce, providing research support in both Higher Education and Vocational settings, and facilitating the dissemination of research findings through publications and reports.
 
This position focuses on building the scope of research that is conducted at Chisholm with a focus on education and publications in both Higher Education and Vocational settings.  The Research Officer will be expected to work with other Chisholm academic and professional staff to identify new areas for research and to provide guidance on ethics applications, data analysis including quantitative and qualitative methods, and provide guidance and support on publishing research outcomes.
 
Your key accountabilities will be to:
  •  Assist with the development, implantation and evaluation of research projects
  • Provide conceptual and administrative support to researchers
  • Facilitate the management of and operation of research projects
  • Communicate clearly with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish peer-reviewed research projects
  • Ability to conceptualise, implement and complete research projects
  • Ability to seek out new opportunities and use these to develop new research projects.
ABOUT YOU
 
You will have relevant tertiary qualification in PhD in Psychology or cognate discipline.
 
Crucial to your success will be your proven experience in planning programs, learning materials and teaching delivery plans in an adult learning environment; your well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools; and your strong understanding of contemporary approaches to education, teaching and learning.
 
You are a highly motivated and have an ability to identify potential and existing setbacks and challenges in a classroom environment and effectively resolve these.
