About the Opportunity

The Learning Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the delivery, production, and administration of a range of new and existing learning programs, designed for school groups, early years, families, and school-aged audiences. Key to this role is ensuring excellent administration, production, and delivery of educational and learning events and activities to the Library's school-aged audiences.

The Learning Program Coordinator is accountable for the following measurable outcomes:

  • Effectively presenting a range of outstanding educational and learning events, ensuring quality delivery of workshops and activities to school-aged audiences and groups, in a manner that meets their requirements.
  • Efficient and timely management and coordination of bookings, ticketing, communications and program production to ensure smooth administration for school, early years or family programs.
  • Assuring seamless program experiences for engagement and education of young audiences through coordination and end to end management for audience experiences.
  • Delivery of excellent customer service through several communication channels including ticketing, email enquiries, presentations and more
  • Timely and robust contribution to program development, evaluation, continuous improvement program and application of lessons learned.

About You

The ideal candidate comes with a deep understanding of the education and cultural sectors and the diverse needs and expectations of pre-school, primary and/or secondary students and their teachers or families.  You are further able to apply your knowledge of teaching and learning principles and standards to the delivery of engaging and insightful enrichment programs for students.

In addition, you will come to us with:

  • Practical experience as well as qualifications in early years, primary or secondary education or families-programming
  • Experience working in a museum, cultural institution or similar environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and administering programs or events.
  • Track record of coordination and support for the work of a small or casual team
  • Current VIT registration is desirable.
