About the opportunity 

An opportunity has become available for an Executive Officer to work within the Charles Perkins Centre (CPC).

The Executive Officer is responsible for leading key aspects of the Charles Perkins Centre (CPC) operations to support the effective delivery of the CPC Research and Education Strategy and the CPC-Hub as a University facility.

The Executive Officer role leads the implementation of Centre based policies and procedures, systems and processes in support of a new model of co-location and facility management and utilisation. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the transformation of administrative and operational processes which are establishing a new model for the sector.  The Executive Officer provides the essential first line operational support to the Chief Operating Officer, providing essential administrative and project management support. 

The CPC is built on a cross-sectional foundation of several University faculties and service units. The position is a key role within a matrix organisational structure and works closely with the research and education technical services and the facility services teams. This role fosters strong collaborative links across the University to support effective and efficient implementation of the CPC operational model in support of the CPC program development and implementation. At the end of the twelve month period the successful candidate will have developed relationships with a diverse range of University departments, providing strong potential for advancement within the tertiary sector.

  • leading the day to day operations of administrative functions

The Charles Perkins Centre supports a collaborative academic environment that creates new knowledge and methodologies and supports their effective translation into innovative approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease (ODCD) and related conditions. The contexts for studies include impacts on individuals and communities, the management and avoidance of ODCD, and the role of government in the development of health services, health policy and approaches to alleviate health and economic impacts.
