We now have an exciting opportunity for two (2) Research Grants and Opportunities Advisor’s to join our Research and Innovation team.
- 1 x fulltime continuing role
- 1 x fulltime fixed term role until September 2024
- Based at our picturesque Bebegu Yumba campus in Townville
- HEWL 7 - $91,403 - $101,074 plus up to 17% super contributions, leave loading and generous employee benefits
How you’ll make a difference
We welcome applications from candidates from diverse career experiences and backgrounds, including business, government, non-for-profit, the health sector or education sectors, with experience in contributing to and managing strategic initiatives, projects and/or funding programs.
You will work collaboratively with the JCU research community to ensure research and grant funding opportunities and sector developments are communicated in a timely fashion. Providing quality advice on research and grant tender application policies, procedures, and administration you will support JCU researchers suin submitting competitive and successful applications and will be instrumental in promoting JCU’s research performance and strategic research intent.
What you’ll bring
- An enthusiasm and passion to support international, world-leading researchers in successful research grants and tender applications.
- Broad knowledge of the application of higher education, State or Australian Government guidelines, policies, and procedures in relation to funding initiatives, research administration and/or grant and tender management activities.
- Significant strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills in relation to funding initiatives, research administration and/or grant and tender management activities.
- Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with a variety of stakeholders including university staff, industry professionals, and government organisations.
- Proven ability to judge shifting priorities and conflicting deadlines.
