We currently have the opportunity for a Timetabling Coordinator to join the Education Services team, located in Sydney, on a 12 month fixed term contract.

This role is responsible for supporting a positive student experience and efficient enrolment process, and generating a user-friendly, accurate and student-centric timetable for students and teachers, before the start of each intake.

About the role
This position is responsible for:

  • Producing an accurate timetable that meets the needs of UTS College, relevant stakeholders and students (using Syllabus Plus)
  • Maintaining a student-centric approach to timetabling that accounts for student needs and preferences
  • Collecting timetabling requirements from multiple sources that support stakeholder needs and the student experience
  • Liaising with Program Managers and key stakeholders to optimise the timetable, and identify and resolve timetabling issues
  • Monitoring class numbers and responding accordingly to ensure a balance between quality learning and business continuity
  • Updating all information regarding scheduled class times on the UTS College website and appropriate systems
  • Providing support to the Education department on matters relating to timetabling, class cancellations and room changes
  • Liaising with Program Managers, Enrolments Team, Student Activities & Events and Facilities as needed to support the timetabling process and student experience

About you
To succeed in this role you must have:

  • A tertiary qualification (eg. Degree or certificate)
  • Demonstrated experience in timetabling and/or course scheduling, preferably in a tertiary-education environment.
  • Previous experience with Syllabus Plus will be highly regarded
  • Strong technology skills in a range of software applications and databases (eg. Student One or similar)
  • High level analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative to proactively resolve issues
  • The ability to juggle multiple demands and remain calm under pressure
  • The ability to effectively and sensitively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds
