We have an exciting temporary opportunity until the 6th December 2024 for a Senior Learning Assurance Adviser to join our People and Culture team. In this role, you will provide learning expertise and advice to ensure learning outcomes are aligned with organisational capability requirements, legislation, and Queensland Rail policies and procedures. You will work closely with stakeholders to lead assurance activities to measure learning compliance and identify continuous improvement initiatives for learning across Queensland Rail.

About our team

Reporting to the Principal Adviser Capability Projects & Assurance, you will join the Senior Learning Adviser and the Senior Learning Process Analyst, as well as the wider Capability Programs and Diversity & Inclusion team. The team offers a collaborative environment where new ideas and knowledge sharing is encouraged to actively contribute to key initiatives that support the success of Queensland Rail and its people.

About the role

  • Plan and lead capability assurance activities associated with Queensland Rail learning and capability risks that have been identified in the annual Learning Assurance Plan, to ensure compliance with legislation and policy requirements.
  • Actively contribute towards the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of effective learning capability solutions and product revisions through assurance activities and other cross-functional collaborations.
  • Provide tailored expertise, coaching and advice to stakeholders to ensure best practice strategies are in place where gaps are identified.
  • Provide advice on solution design and development strategies where improvements are identified as a result of assurance activities.
  • Liaise on large projects as a subject matter expert relating to the implementation of learning and capability solutions to ensure outcomes and timelines are met.
  • Support content owners across Queensland Rail in the continuous improvement processes to be applied to learning solutions, products and project activities.

About you

  • High attention to detail for preparation of high-quality documentation, reports and presentations based on research and analysis of assurance findings.
  • High level of interpersonal and written communication skills including consultation, influencing, facilitation and negotiation in order to establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Substantial level of analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to think and work strategically.
  • Substantial knowledge of enterprise wide assurance and risk management processes and principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Australian Quality Training Framework, National Training Packages and training legislation within an enterprise RTO context.
  • High level of organisational, project and time management skills, including dealing with conflicting priorities, maintaining workflows to deliver and achieve outcomes, meeting deadlines, exercising professional judgement in a constructive manner and the ability to contribute effectively both individually and as a member of a team.
