We are seeking a dynamic and engaged individual to join us in the role of Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research (DVCR). The DVCR, reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, will lead research strategy across the University, and support researchers through the Research Development and Support team and the Office of Graduate Research. The incumbent will be expected to build strong and constructive relationships with fellow members of the Executive team, our extensive community of researchers and with key external stakeholders across the community, government and industry.

For this crucial appointment Flinders is seeking a highly accomplished leader with a deep understanding of research leadership and with the vision and ability to build upon our recent success, elevating Flinders to even greater heights.

The DVCR will possess the strategic insight and vision to understand the key areas of focus for research at Flinders into the future and be ready to direct resources to best effect. They will also demonstrate alignment with the values of Flinders University and a commitment to our positive and ambitious culture.

The successful candidate will be expected to bring a collegial and institutional perspective to the role, together with the scholarly generosity to work with colleagues at all levels and across all disciplines.
