The Federal Government has congratulated the 211 teachers who have been awarded the Endeavour Language Teacher Fellowship for 2013.

 

The fellowships will assist 182 practising language teachers and 29 pre-service language teachers to improve their knowledge and skillsets through a three-week, intensive in-country study program.

 

Federal Minister for School Education, Peter Garrett, said the awardees will travel to China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Spain and the United Arab Emirates in January next year.

 

Since 2004, more than 1,500 practising and pre-service languages teachers have participated in 11 languages programs including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese.
