Emeritus Research is growing and we need to amp up our super Start-Up Team! We are looking for a passionate Research Governance Officer who is ready to protect our business interests and decrease risk by making sure all trial regulatory requirements are in place. This role is based at our office in Botany with the rest of the Start-Up team located in Melbourne. 

Your day will see you:

  • managing the governance application process from start to finish
  • ensuring accurate documentation is in place for all trials across our sites
  • seeking out study progress updates so you can get ahead of the game to prepare for upcoming approvals
  • providing excellent and expert research governance advice, services and support to become a trusted advisor
  • delivering educational programs to build awareness and understanding of governance issues
  • problem solving and making decisions to ensure tasks are effectively and professionally completed
  • showing your collaborative spirit while being able to work independently 
  • demonstrating strong organisation, time management and prioritising skills
  • showing off your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and 
  • working in a dynamic team and being adaptable to change.

You won’t do this alone – you will be part of a small but fabulous team, who are all Melbourne based, but the whole team supports each other while growing our business. You’ll also get free on-site parking, an extra day off each month and great snacks and fresh fruit in the lunch room.

  • 3+ years of clinical research experience and with a sound knowledge of the regulatory processes, including Research Governance and Ethics
  • Solid knowledge of Medicines Australia, Contracts, Insurance, Indemnity and Risk
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Medicine, Science (or equivalent) 
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Australian Residency
