CSIRO Postdoctoral Fellowship in Collaborative Intelligence for Genomics and Bioinformatics
CSIRO acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land, sea and waters, of the area that we live and work on across Australia. We acknowledge their continuing connection to their culture and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. View our vision towards reconciliation
CSIRO Early Research Career (CERC) Postdoctoral Fellowships provide opportunities to scientists and engineers who have completed their doctorate and have less than three years of relevant postdoctoral work experience. These fellowships aim to develop the next generation of future leaders of the innovation system.
This role will be embedded in CSIRO’s new Collaborative Intelligence Future Science Platform (CINTEL FSP). The CINTEL FSP is about exploring “collaborative intelligence” and developing the science required to integrate artificial and human intelligence and produce a general-purpose technology which could have a transformative impact across a wide range of industries and domains.
The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary research team to develop and apply CINTEL methodology for the integration and analysis of multi-omic data, in particular, as it relates to the problem of genome annotation. Research questions in this project include how the humans and AI components can collaborate with each other, solving together the problem at hand, and what communication must occur.
