Integrity Education Officer

 

Tennis is part of Australia’s cultural heritage; it contributes to the social cohesiveness of our communities and provides a safe, healthy, and social environment for Australians of all ages and abilities. At Tennis Australia (TA) we are passionate about what we do, and we have ambitious plans for how we can continue to grow our game and the positive impact it can have on society. To help us achieve this we are looking for an Integrity Education Officer to join our wider Integrity team on a full time, max-term basis.

In this role, you will provide support in relation to the promotion of role model behaviours within tennis in line with Tennis Australia’s national policies. You will provide education in relation to integrity threats, such as: member protection, the safeguarding of children and young people, anti-doping, anti-corruption and online abuse. You will help increase knowledge of the national policies that protect the integrity of our sport across Tennis Australia and the Member Associations and will play an integral part in maintaining and improving compliance with them.

About the role

In this role you will:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Tennis Australia’s national policies and procedures and contribute to the review and update of the policies.
  • Support implementation initiatives to increase the knowledge of Tennis Australia’s national policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and support the team in the development and delivery of evidence-based education to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain existing relationships and identify new partnership opportunities to leverage off external resources and courses and contextualising these external resources and courses to tennis.
  • Support the integrity team with investigations and enforcement work as required.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Tertiary qualifications in education, sport management or integrity with a certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Content Management Systems and their application in a workplace environment.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and application to coach, official and parent/carer education environments.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia.
