  • Program Administrator to provide support to two large-scale projects within the Susan Wakil Health Building (SWHB) Transition Program, Faculty of Medicine and Health
  • Located at both Cumberland and Camperdown campuses
  • 12 months fixed term with potential extension for a further 6 months, Full - Time and base salary $74K p.a. plus superannuation

About the opportunity 

We are in a period of exciting and significant investment in our Faculty of Medicine and Health and in order to deliver on the University’s ambitious strategic plan, we are looking for a dynamic Program Administrator to join the SWHB Program team and work under guidance of the Project Manager and support all projects within the Susan Wakil Health Building (SWHB) Transition Program.  The Transition Program will deliver the successful transition of over 1500 stakeholders into the new 21,000 m2, 8 story SWHB and ensure it is operationally ready for business on day one. The Program is tasked with the exciting opportunity to operationalise the University’s first Activity Based Working (ABW) workplace, pioneer a range of new operating models and systems to support this state-of-the-art health building.

This role will provide project administration support including the maintenance of project plans, preparing status reports, documenting project timelines and highlighting milestones using appropriate tools. The role will support the Program Director and Program governance through preparation of Steering Committee agendas and minutes and monitoring of action items. General administrative support will also be required to support the project team including preparing professional presentations, maintaining document templates, financial administration and being the first point of contact for enquires to the project team. Building successful relationships will also be key as in this role you will be expected to develop and maintain productive relationships with project stakeholders across the University and external partners.

About you

  • demonstratable experience where you have supported a large-scale project. (Experience within a relocation project is highly desirable.)
  • confident administration skills coupled with a general understanding of a project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies
  • a “hands on” attitude and willingness to undertake a broad range of activities to support the delivery of the project
  • experience in the higher education / tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation is highly desirable

The ideal candidate will have confident interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills to deal with a variety of enquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills are also essential whilst demonstrating good adaptability to manage a varied project workload.
