About the Role:

Wilderness School is seeking to appoint a highly accomplished and passionate Head of Mathematics. This is a full-time position commencing January 2021. 

Reporting directly to the Director of Learning and Teaching Excellence, the Head of Mathematics is responsible for the delivery of an innovative and rigorous mathematics curriculum that delivers maximum growth and achievement for all students.

The Head of Mathematics is committed to developing their own leadership and leadership practices, as well as empowering, motivating and supporting the members of the Mathematics Department to improve their professional and classroom practices. Reflective, collaborative and collegial, the Head of Mathematics cultivates a climate of innovation, mutual trust and respect.

The Head of Mathematics is a highly and experienced mathematics teacher with a demonstrated passion for educating and empowering students and teachers to strive for excellence and continual growth. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
