Reporting to the Dean of Studies the Education Services Manager has overall responsibility for management of all administrative functions of the Education Department and will also provide leadership to the Education Services Team of 5 people.

About the role
This position is responsible for:

  • The management and leadership of administrative functions in Education
  • Managing the Secretariat function for the Academic Board and sub-committees
  • Delegated authority for complex academic decisions, within established guidelines
  • Education event management
  • Acting as the key point of contact for the Education department
  • Managing the operational systems and procedures of the department
  • Participating in organisational wide projects, including as Business Owner of key projects and coordinating reporting for Insearch Board updates
  • Ensuring Insearch Education policies & procedures are compliant with the Education Services for Overseas Student Act 2000 (ESOS Act)
  • Overseeing departmental data reporting
  • Assisting in the recruitment and induction of Education staff
  • Ensuring the Education Services team meet targets and identified leadership capabilities
  • Overseeing the preparation for external quality audits, accreditations and formal course moderations
  • Acting as a key administrative liaison with UTS and Jumbunna Institute of Indigenous Education and Research

About you
To succeed in this role you must have:

  • A bachelors degree in a Business related area
  • Postgraduate qualifications or leadership development training is desirable
  • A demonstrated advanced understanding of the Higher Education sector (particularly in education administration and management)
  • A customer focused approach
  • Extensive experience with Business Systems, course and student administration
  • The demonstrated ability to undertake research, provide detailed reports and make recommendations from business intelligence data
  • Proven project management skills
  • Successful team leadership experience and capabilities in a multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
