The University’s Strategic Program Office will enhance UQ’s ability to deliver its core functions of learning, discovery and engagement. This University-wide program will adopt a One UQ approach with shared commitment and responsibility to enhance the student and staff experience by transforming internal business operations.

About This Opportunity

The University is acquiring new Human Capital Management Solution (HCMS), consisting of integrated Human Resources, Workforce Management and Payroll systems, along with consistent simplified processes, that will function as UQ’s enterprise solution for accessing and managing HR services.  

Working as an integral part of the HCMS Change Team, the purpose of the Change & Communication Specialist is to identify the change impacts, perform gap analysis against current state, manage the delivery and embedding of new processes, and build effective communication between the HCMS team and its stakeholders.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong change management experience with a track record of delivering transformation or business improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change activities and assess organisational readiness in a business centric technology enabled program.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across a business.
  • The ability to negotiate, demonstrate diplomacy and tact, and effectively build and maintain relationships.
  • A strong work ethic and the willingness to go the extra mile to accomplish tasks in a fast paced environment.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term (until 16 April 2021) position at HEW 8.

The full-time base salary will be in the range $98,298 - $110,376, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be negotiated.
