ENGLISH LEARNING AREA LEADER

Full-time permanent position commencing Term 1, 2021.

Due to the retirement of our current Head of English, we are seeking to appoint a capable and dynamic teacher who is a highly qualified, effective and experienced educator with the ability to take on a leadership position.

We are seeking an educator with extensive experience teaching senior English with a proven record of success at VCE level. 

In addition to the teaching component, we are seeking to appoint an English Learning Area Leader (LAL). The LAL mentors teachers through discussion of curriculum development, pedagogy, professional development, assessment and reporting; is responsible for ensuring the development and delivery of the curricula and the professional growth and collaboration of the teachers within the Learning Area; and promotes the learning area internally and externally.

All Learning Area Leader appointments are for 3 years, with an annual performance review against KPIs. At the end of the 3 year tenure, the position is re-advertised internally. This position attracts both time and monetary allowances.
