The Role

  • Continuing, Full Time
  • $115,617 to $133,238 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Wagga Wagga

Provide leadership, conduct ethical, high quality research and make a significant contribution to teaching in the Animal Science discipline and courses delivered by the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences.

As an academic in Animal Production, you will be expected to contribute to teaching in the Animal Science and Veterinary Science undergraduate programs and other courses delivered by the School. The role includes expectations of research productivity, supervision of research students, as appropriate, leadership within Animal Production and broad engagement with livestock industries. Administrative activities within the School and Faculty are also required.

To be successful you will have:

  • A doctoral qualification, relevant to the discipline or equivalent accreditation and standing
  • A record of significant achievement relevant to the discipline area, and at a national level, in the scholarship of teaching and/or research/creative works or professional activity
  • Evidence of and a demonstrated commitment to the delivery of high quality student centred learning and teaching
  • High level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills including negotiating, presenting, active listening and the giving and receiving of constructive feedback
