The Role

The future of Charles Sturt University's Dental Program holds growth & transformation, & we are looking for new people to join the team at our Orange campus.

  • Associate Professor (Level D) - AU$139,111 to AU$153,204 p.a
  • Professor (Level E) - AU$179,048 p.a

Successful candidates will actively engage in clinical teaching, research & curriculum development in the School of Dentistry & Health Sciences teaching a range of subjects utilising multiple teaching methods (face to face & online delivery). They will participate in the admin & ongoing curriculum development & progress an active research profile that aligns with the direction of both the University & School.

With specialised field experience & demonstrated education experience within the clinical & academic setting, successful candidates may be appointed as either Teaching Research or Teaching Focused, based on their research track record.

To be successful you will have:

  • Postgraduate qualification relevant to Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Medicine, Paediatric Dentistry, Special Care Dentistry &/or Oral Surgery;
  • Full registration (or eligibility) as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • A record of academic achievement relevant to the discipline area, demonstrating a capacity to make an autonomous contribution &/or at a national/international level, in research or professional activity;
  • Experience in teaching &/or clinical teaching;
  • Effective leadership skills (for level C & above).
