  • $92,117 to $149,686 AUD pa (plus super) - a market loading allowance maybe applicable for the right applicant

The Senior Lecturer in Prosthodontics will actively engage in teaching, research and curriculum development in the School of Dentistry and Health Sciences. The appointee will provide academic leadership for the Bachelor of Dental Science undergraduate course, Graduate Diploma of Dental Implantology course as well as contribute to curriculum and subject content development. Principal teaching duties will relate to clinical dentistry and prosthodontics, but some preclinical or biodental/diagnostic science subject teaching duties may be required. As well as teaching into the relevant programs the incumbent will also carry out research and contribute to/lead subject administration. As the School of Dentistry and Health Sciences is a multi-campus and multi-disciplinary academic unit, the incumbent may also be required to collaborate with courses of oral health therapy, medical radiation science and nutrition in Wagga Wagga, Port Macquarie, Dubbo, Albury and Bathurst.

The successful candidate will be appointed as either Teaching Research or Teaching Focused, based on the candidate's research track record. Applicants are able to discuss their preferred work function with the Selection Panel.

To be successful you will have:
  • Qualifications relevant to level being applied for as specified in the selection criteria
  • Meet the registration requirements as outlined in the position description
  • Demonstrated clinical experience relevant to prosthodontics after the completition of the primary dental qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching prosthodontics
  • Evidence of leadership in an academic or clinical setting
