An opportunity for a Manager, Intellectual Property Commercialisation has arisen within Swinburne Research.  The position will manage a portfolio of projects aimed at the development and commercialisation of Swinburne Intellectual Property. The projects may involve collaborations with external industry and research partners, investors, specialist consultants and service providers.

Working with patent attorneys and under the general direction of the Intellectual Property Committee and relevant Pro Vice Chancellor to develop, implement and communicate end-to-end procedures and strategies for the protection and administration of Swinburne’s patent portfolio – including the tracking and distribution of commercialisation revenues to inventors in accordance with relevant Swinburne policies.

Skills and experience required
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate relevant business experience (preferably in the private sector), with some specific practical involvement in technology transfer and intellectual property commercialisation.  Another key to your success in this position will be your high level report writing, oral and interpersonal skills & well developed negotiation skills.
