About the role:

An excellent opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual to join an outstanding team of scientists and staff, and work within the Grants Office primarily at our Parkville facility.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the pre-award process and will be responsible for identifying and promoting peer reviewed research funding opportunities to Florey research staff. They will provide guidance to researchers in the preparation of grant applications, and act as liaison between Florey, funding bodies, Florey Department and Research Innovation and Commercialisation (RIC) at the University of Melbourne.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a health or science discipline with high level of scientific understanding and terminology
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills and familiarity with database management systems
  • Great attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

This position attracts a salary offer in the range of $74,307 - $82,799 commensurate with experience, plus generous superannuation of 14% or the option of 17% (subject to an employee co-contribution) in accordance with the institute’s enterprise agreement. Employees are also eligible for substantial salary packaging (including living expenses, meal entertainment, accommodation, electronic devices, car parking and motor vehicles), together with three paid Institute days, annual leave loading, purchased annual leave, parental leave, and further benefits.
