The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health has more than 600 staff and students who are passionately committed to researching the way the brain works. We are internationally renowned for our discoveries and research on the central nervous system and associated brain disorders. Key areas of interest include addiction, Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, depression, epilepsy, Huntington’s disease, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, stroke and traumatic and spinal cord injury.

An excellent opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual to join an outstanding team of scientists and staff, and work within the Innate Phagocytosis Laboratory at our Parkville facility. The role will primarily be responsible for Biomarkers for diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and cancers, flow cytometry work for leukocyte phenotyping study and antibody production and labeling with colloidal gold.

The successful candidate will have Bachelor of Science/ Biomedicine with Honours, minimum of 1 year’s experience in a medical laboratory and experience on flow cytometry.

An indicative salary in the range of $63,523 to $70,789 commensurate with experience plus 14%/17% superannuation and generous salary packaging options.
