The National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit (NPESU) is a national agency for epidemiological and statistical information on reproductive technology, pregnancy, childbirth, and the health care of newborns. The Unit is part of the Centre for Big Data Research in Health and the School of Women’s & Children’s Health. It is located within the vibrant campus life of UNSW Campus, Kensington.
About the role
The NPESU is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow/Health Economist to undertake a new program research in the field of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF). The research is funded by a newly acquired grant from the peek medical research funding body in Australia, the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). The research will include the application of cost-effectiveness/utility analysis and discrete choice experiments to answer important research and policy questions pertaining to economic and demographic aspects of IVF. The position will involve a range of activities including method development, study design, data analysis and interpretation, and dissemination of research finding at conferences and through high quality publications.
