About the role:

Reporting to the Associate Dean, Student Services, the Wellbeing Coordinator will provide initial counselling, referral, and advisory service for Trinity College Residential students, and works alongside the Student Leaders, Resident Advisors, Associate Dean and Dean to develop and implement the College’s wellbeing and pastoral care program.

The position work with the Associate Dean to develop, oversee and implement the wellbeing and pastoral care programs for the Residential College, including triaging cases, managing reports of student wellbeing from a variety of stakeholders, managing students at risk, the appointment of external referral agencies including counsellors, and the direction of proactive wellbeing programs for Residential students.

Skills & Experience:

To secure this exciting role, you will need a tertiary qualification relevant to the role in Social Work or Mental Health or other relevant area. A full membership eligibility for membership, of the AASW or APS or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in a similar role with specific work experience in the provision of counselling for young people as well as, experience in the assessment and management of complex cognitive and emotional, mental health, and developmental issues amongst a diverse population.

The successful candidate must also possess, experience in case-planning and case review, demonstrated ability in referring students to an appropriate external or internal support service, strong organisational and time management skills, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and an interest and desire to contribute to the educational vision, values, planning and strategies of the College.

Contract Term: This is a full-time, permanent position.

Salary:  Band 3 - FTE $75,253 to $81,968  plus 10% Superannuation and 17.5% Leave Loading.

There will be occasional weekend work and work outside usual business hours, as required, which is in part acknowledged through the remuneration of this position and may also be acknowledged by appropriate leave in lieu, at the discretion of the Associate Dean
