It is also responsible for research into the clinical and epidemiological aspects of other blood borne viruses and sexually transmissible infections, in particular Viral Hepatitis
About the role
The Technical Officer is responsible for supporting the expansion of a national health surveillance network, which monitors blood borne viruses and sexually transmissible infections across Australia (‘ACCESS’). This position manages the development, installation and maintenance of specialised health extraction software, which entails liaising with study sites, negotiating the software’s installation, and supporting the software’s ongoing development and use. The Technical Officer will also be responsible for designing highly visual, web-based data reports using Tableau.
