About the role

WWF-Australia is seeking an outstanding professional to lead and manage WWF’s Sustainable Business portfolio responsible for growing strategic partnerships with major businesses to bring about transformational changes in doing business whilst generating investment in environmental conservation and sustainable development projects.  

Reporting to the Conservation Director Sustainable Futures, the position leads a small team that engages with companies to raise critical funds for WWF-Australia’s projects, communicate the WWF message to customers, employees and suppliers and bring together diverse stakeholders to find sustainable solutions and campaigns for sustainable change.

Skills, knowledge and experience

  • Experience developing, implementing and managing business partnerships/corporate engagement strategies.

  • A knowledge of sustainable business practices, preferably with experience in working with the supply chains of retailers and major brands.

  • A track record of forecasting and raising income against targets.

  • Networking, influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution skills with an ability to build strategic relationships at a senior level.

  • Experience in utilising digital marketing and branding strategies to build engagement.

  • Project management and people management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communications skills.

    Ability to work collaboratively in a flexible team based environment.

A knowledge of and/or experience in seafood sustainability and/or fisheries management would be an advantage.
