The role

The role of Clinical Academic within the School of Dentistry contributes principally to clinical teaching in orthodontics and research. A contribution to the scholarship of teaching is encouraged and contribution to service and engagement is expected.

The person

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate with a passion for clinically focused teaching and research in Orthodontics. Applicants should possess an advanced professional qualification in Orthodontics as a Dental Specialist (or progress towards an advanced professional qualification for appointment at Level A) and hold full registration with the Dental Board of Australia as a Dental Specialist. Applicants must demonstrate ability and enthusiasm in high quality clinical teaching in dentistry at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

A Research Higher Degree (PhD or equivalent) is desirable.

Remuneration

These are a full-time and part-time continuing appointments at Academic Level A, B, C or D, which will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.

The level A remuneration package will be in the range of $64,533 - $87,535 p.a. FTE, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,504 - $102,416 p.a. FTE).

The level B remuneration package will be in the range of $92,142 - $109,419 p.a. FTE, plus Dental Loading of $15,175 p.a FTE, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $122,982 - $143,195 p.a. FTE).

The level C remuneration package will be in the range of $112,874 - $130,150 p.a. FTE, plus Dental Loading of $15,175 p.a FTE, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $147,238 - $167,451 p.a. FTE).

The level D remuneration package will be in the range of $135,909 - $149,731 p.a. FTE, plus Dental Loading of $15,175 p.a FTE, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $174,189 - $190,360 p.a. FTE).
