A 2-year fixed-term opportunity is now available for a Research and IP Governance Manager within the Research Division, located at the Townsville, Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas. Remuneration at HEWL 8 $97,118 - $111,524p.a. + up to 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you can accomplish in the role

Manage JCU’s intellectual property, patent portfolio and research governance frameworks and work collaboratively with JourneyTech to commercialise JCU IP ensuring delivery of best practice and quality research support through the continuous improvement of systems and service delivery.

Key Requirements for Success

• Progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training.
• Demonstrated experience working in the Australian intellectual property/patent landscape.
• Deliver accurate operational services in a fast-paced work environment, contributing to the achievement of strategic outcomes.
• Ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines, and an established record of exercising judgement and initiative.
• Ability to maintain working relationships, including demonstrated ability to consult and liaise with varying levels of stakeholders to achieve outcomes for the organisation.
