We offer an exciting opportunity for two Senior Lecturers, Dentistry ($114,363 - $131,287, plus clinical loading) to join our world-leading institution at James Cook University (JCU). These full-time, continuing appointments are based at our world class facilities at JCU Cairns.
What you can accomplish in the Role
Joining a dynamic team of professionals, you will increase capacity in the Discipline of Dentistry at JCU through innovative teaching of theory and clinical content to undergraduate students. With the remit to provide high-quality healthcare close to home for rural and remote communities, you will deliver high quality, state-of-the-art curriculum development, teaching and assessments of Dentistry students with a focus on those challenges facing health professionals working in rural and remote environments. You will also actively participate in relevant research, research education and engagement activities in your areas of special interest.
What you will bring to the Role
As an enthusiastic and qualified academic or practice Dentist, you will have full registration as a Dentist with the Dental Board of Australia and hold, or are eligible to obtain, a radiography licence with the State of Queensland. With a demonstrated passion and capacity for teaching and research, you will enjoy working in world-class facilities, including JCU's simulation laboratory and public dental clinic. Using the latest in advanced technology, you will improve oral health care in underserved communities and make a real impact in rural and remote health.
