Occupational Exposure to Aviation Fuels and Solvents and Adverse Female Reproductive Health Outcomes

Reporting to Senior Research Fellow, Dr Helen Kelsall, the Research Officer’s primary role will be to conduct a literature review on occupational exposures by women to military aviation turbine fuels (MATFs) and solvents and adverse human female reproductive health outcomes.

The incumbent will have a degree (or equivalent experience and/or education/training) in epidemiology, toxicology and/or reproductive health outcomes and experience in undertaking literature review/s (preferably systematic literature reviews) and assessing epidemiological evidence. She/ he will undertake research activities that include developing a Project Plan, liaising with investigators as required for expertise and advice; refining the protocol for the search, undertaking the literature search, tabulating findings; drafting and finalising study reports and preparing presentations. 

The incumbent will be an independent and experienced researcher with good personal and communication skills.  She/ he will also provide some research support that includes responsibility for study documentation and for organising meetings with the research team and with the funding body.

The appointment will be for 6 months full-time and the incumbent will be required to start as soon as possible.

Remuneration: $90,083 - $98,804 (inclusive of superannuation) per annum (pro rata)
