The Learning Sciences Institute Australia (LSIA) is a national research institute hosting a team of eminent researchers and international scholars undertaking nationally-funded education research studies with a range of industry partners.

The current position is aligned to the research concentration: Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) in Education.

As a Professor (LSIA) you will:

  • conduct research of international standing in the area of mathematics and/or science education with real world applications incorporating technology or design
  • produce world class publications as sole author and in collaboration with members of the STEM in Education research concentration
  • prepare and submit research grant applications, and actively identify and seek funding from external bodies.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • a strong and sustained track record of educational research achievement in mathematics or science research with an applied or interdisciplinary STEM focus
  • a successful track record of supervision of research students through to completion
  • success in securing national competitive research grants and external research consultancies
  • evidence of ability to show commitment with integrity to the Catholic Identity, Mission and ethos of the University.

Total remuneration valued to $202,050 pa, including salary component $171,532 pa (Academic Classification Level E), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
