The PM Glynn Institute was established by Australian Catholic University in 2016 to provide the Catholic community with a standing capacity to analyse public policy issues of concern not only to the Catholic Church and its services, but to the wider Australian community as well. The role of the institute is to generate new approaches and new thinking on public policy issues, and develop well-supported and practical proposals to address them. The position of Research and Projects Manager is responsible for the coordination of research programs and projects of the Institute. 

As Research and Projects Manager you will: 

  • manage and coordinate the Institute’s research streams for programs and projects

  • assemble project teams for research work to ensure the Institute’s goals are achieved 
  • oversee the appraisal process, editing, designing and publication of the Institute’s research and policy papers

  • develop a continuous communications strategy to build interest and following in the Institute’s work. 

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate: 

  • post graduate qualifications in a discipline relevant to the institute’s research and purpose; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education or training

  • an ability to think strategically about approaches to public policy related issues

  • evidence of ability to show commitment with integrity to the Catholic Identity, Mission and ethos of the University

  • an ability to build and maintain effective networks to develop opportunities for collaborations with stakeholders and partners within public policy.
