Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) at CSIRO engages with all levels of the organisation to deliver future-focussed and leading-edge initiatives to significantly improve CSIRO’s HSE culture. CSIRO has an exciting opportunity for HSE Knowledge Management Coordinator to join their team.

As the HSE Knowledge Management Coordinator, you will create learning resources, tools and communications that positively impact the organisation’s HSE capability and knowledge. You will develop resources that are accessible through online platforms and facilitated training packages. 

Your ability to engage with stakeholders will be key to your success in this role, as you will assist with training requests and queries from a range of customers across the organisation. You possess a strong knowledge of instructional design/website creation platforms and will support a modern and digitally enabled learning approach.

Your duties will include:

  • Designing and creating learning resources and activities to build and maintain effective HSE knowledge and capability in CSIRO.
  • Developing and/or maintaining effective systems and processes to record and report training activity including participants, suppliers (eg. RTO’s) and payments using Office 365 suite tools.
  • Liaising with the CSIRO Learning and Development team to ensure access to a range of internal and external HSE training packages and reporting.
  • Monitoring and maintaining MyCSIRO intranet pages for HSE content and training courses 
  • Coordinating specialist programs and all mandatory training to meet compliance. 
  • Delivering timely and accurate administrative activities such as scheduling, reporting, processing and communication of progress eg: training record creation and monitoring.
  • Supporting the implementation of CSIRO’s HSE plan through the planning and delivery of priority HSE learning activities and initiatives, with a focus on organisational consistency across CSIRO sites.
  • Other duties as directed. 

Location: Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Hobart or Adelaide, with other locations negotiable.
Salary: AU$68k - AU$86k pa plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:

  • Qualifications and/or demonstrated knowledge of organisational training, or instructional design/ website creation platforms.  
  • Proven ability in creating and delivering (HSE or similar) impactful learning offerings across all levels of an organisation. 
  • Ability to understand stakeholder priorities and contribution in the design, delivery, and implementation of strategies to improve HSE.
  • Proven ability to understand stakeholder priorities (in an HSE context desirable) and work with subject experts to develop high-impact learning solutions.   
  • A proven ability to research and analyse and interpret data to investigate problems and monitor impact of (HSE or similar) learning solutions.  
  • A strong record in supporting organisational change and challenging cultural norms in alignment with the strategic direction of the organisation. 
  • Demonstrated effective written, verbal, presentation and facilitation communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated willingness to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders and other HSE teams to promote the desired culture and achieve team objectives.  
  • A strong record in supporting organisational change and challenging cultural norms in alignment with the strategic direction of the organisation. 

Desirable 

  • Experience using programs such as Sitecore (digital platform) and Articulate (e-Learning courses). 
  • Relevant HSE qualifications.
