One of the largest science and technology libraries in Australia, CSIRO Library Services delivers innovative information services and resources to support CSIRO research. We provide the tools and training to allow staff to access and use information faster and smarter, and we are a key enabler of CSIRO research outcomes and increased citation rates. Teams work in a distributed environment to support researchers located across Australia and overseas. The library is entering an exciting phase as we begin implementation of a new two-year plan.
The Library Outreach team provides high value consultancy and training services to all areas of the organisation, maintains the publications repository, and manages our online presence. Members of the team are geographically dispersed across many of CSIRO’s sites in Australia.
As a member of the Library Outreach team, the Digital Communications Librarian is responsible for maintaining and developing the library website as an up to date and user centred gateway to our services and resources. The librarian will also prepare guides and other resources in effectively using library services, professional presentations to support the library team, informative social media and news items, and self-guided online training objects. The position will also deliver general reference and training to support the Library Outreach team as required.
Travel may be required to other CSIRO sites within Australia.

Salary: AU$87k - AU$98k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in an area such as Librarianship or Information Management together with relevant experience in a research or academic library.
