The Opportunity
As Australia’s national science agency, we are well positioned to explore and grow capability in the nascent quantum technologies industry. Future Science Platforms (FSPs) are an investment in science that underpins innovation and has the potential to help reinvent and create new industries for Australia. They are strategic investments for CSIRO, aimed at developing capacity in areas of identified future importance for Australia. FSPs are both impact and science-focused, developing innovative scientific solutions with industry, government and university partners with a 5-to-10-year vision. The Quantum Technologies FSP aims to establish and grow capacity in quantum technology research and development at CSIRO, and is part of a larger strategic investment in Quantum at CSIRO. These scholarships in particular focus on quantum algorithms, software and security, Data61's strategic research areas in Quantum Technology.
We are inviting applications for the CSIRO Quantum Technologies FSP scholarship. We are looking for diverse and creative scholars, who can demonstrate academic and research excellence, and are capable of driving our impactful research projects that help shape Australia’s digital future.
