ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of the IT team your key responsibilities are:

  • Provide comprehensive IT support to staff, students, parents, and visitors. This includes responding to IT support requests via phone, email, and in person, as well as troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain and manage IT infrastructure and records. This includes logging IT support requests, prioritising and resolving issues, maintaining IT documentation, and managing IT inventory.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of IT processes and documentation. This includes creating and maintaining IT policies and procedures, as well as documenting IT systems and processes.
  • Adhere to cyber security policies and procedures. This includes helping users understand and follow the school's IT Policy, as well as communicating security risks and issues to the Director of ICT.
  • Proactively improve one's own IT skills and knowledge. This includes attending professional development activities and certifications, as well as keeping up-to-date on the latest IT trends and technologies.

You will work closely with the Director of ICT, wider ICT team, staff, students and other relevant school stakeholders.  

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking applications from people with the following backgrounds, experience and qualifications:

  • Post-secondary qualifications in IT and/ or relevant experience - essential.
  • Previous working experience in an Education/ school environment - desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. 
  • Proven proficiency in MS Windows and Office, MacOS, laptop, iPads and classroom AV equipment 
  • High attention to detail, time management, ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Keen learner and enjoy problem solving.
  • and last but not least, a great sense of humour and ability to have a bit of fun!
