About the Role:

Our school is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Primary Teacher to join the team for 2020 on a full time basis. The successful applicant will be an excellent teacher who will be part of a dynamic team. They will possess an understanding of best practice and exhibit a commitment to and understanding of student learning. Appropriate academic qualifications and experience in primary education, as well as QCT registration, are required. You will become an integral part of the friendly team, closely working with staff, teacher colleagues and students.

The Australian Government has also introduced new legislation that will see up to five years worth of HELP debts waived for teachers who spend at least four years working in very remote schools. As this region is classified as very remote, up to a maximum of five years tuition fees could be waived for education that has been deferred as a HELP loan (e.g. Bachelor Degree, Masters, etc). This is in addition to other generous incentives, including:

  • $6,000 retention benefit paid upon the completion of the initial 3 years of service
  • Weekly accommodation allowance
  • Paid relocation, storage and packing (subject to conditions)
  • One fully paid return airfare for teachers (and immediate family members residing with them) to Toowoomba each year
