Are you looking for an exciting job in environmental sustainability and community empowerment and leadership? We are seeking an organised self-starter for the role of Sustainable Homes Coordinator and this could be you! The Sustainable Homes Coordinator delivers the highly regarded Sustainable Homes and Communities Program across the Cities of Darebin and Banyule.

The role includes the coordination and delivery of sustainability leadership courses, seminars and workshops, hands-on activities and sustainability education resources across the two councils. It includes Program promotion, engagement, evaluation and continual improvement and all elements of Program management.

The successful applicant will be highly self-motivated and possess:
• knowledge of and commitment to environmental sustainability and behaviour change methodologies
• experience in the design, delivery, ongoing evaluation and improvement of community education programs
• excellent project /event management skills to deliver projects on time and on budget with strong facilitation and group management skills
• strong promotion, engagement and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaborative relationships within the community and Council
• understanding of relevant cross-cultural issues and experience in working with diverse communities.
The position has the potential to be co-located at the Darebin City Council Offices (Preston) and the Banyule City Council Offices (Greensborough) and involves some evening and weekend work.
