Charles Darwin University is ranked in the top 2% of universities in the world; it is a multisector institution, delivering higher and vocational education and has an impressive research track record. The University is embarking on a new 10-15 year growth strategy to help transform the region and high quality people management support is an essential component.

CDU has recognised the importance of good people management to its future success.  A new structure and additional roles have been created to equip the newly formed People and Capability group to work with the leadership team to ensure that CDU is a great place to work and to achieve University goals through people. There will be increased emphasis on customer service, leadership and professional development, shaping organisational culture, strategic recruitment, maximising staff performance and effective issue management.

The Director P&C manages a team of HR staff who provide integrated client services in a partnership model and manages the full range of HR functions including organisational development and capability, policy, employee relations, systems, payroll, safety, emergency and wellbeing and strategic recruitment.

This is a role for an experienced senior HR leader who has high standards, thrives on change and innovation and will be passionate about making CDU as good as it can be.
