ABOUT MORELAND

The City of Moreland is changing as we align our organisation to meet the needs of a fast growing city which is home to more than 170,000 residents who are culturally and linguistically diverse, speaking more than 140 different languages.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Moreland City Libraries is seeking an experienced trainer to provide targeted training to library staff and Moreland community members to become Digital Mentors.

In performing this role your key responsibility will be to develop, plan, promote and deliver digital literacy and technology training for the community and library staff. You will enjoy developing partnerships and working with community members to deliver digital training to senior members of the community across Moreland.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to gain the cooperation and support of team members to achieve goals and objectives
  • Demonstrable teaching skills
  • Ability to contribute to and deliver projects and programs within agreed timeframes
  • Demonstrated experience in organising community-based programs to targeted groups
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in digital literacy
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with a variety of apps and devices
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems using creativity and originality when required
