ABOUT THE ROLE

Moreland City Libraries is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Library Technician who enjoys engaging with the community and working with a dynamic team to provide high quality customer service, assist planning of music events, and provide administrative support.

In this position, your key responsibilities will be to engage with our diverse community to provide excellent customer service. You will also assist with collection management of the audio-visual collection, supervise the processing of audio-visual resources and catalogue and promote audio-visual collections. You will assist in the organisation of music events under the direction of the Coordinator Customer Service and Programs as well as assist with library initiatives to bridge the digital divide and provide administrative support when required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and deal with difficult situations
  • Ability to contribute to programs within agreed timeframes
  • Good knowledge of audio-visual resources and equipment
