About the opportunity
We are in a period of exciting and significant investment in our Faculty of Medicine and Health and in order to deliver on the University’s ambitious strategic plan, we are looking for enthusiastic Senior Trial Operations Coordinators to join the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre based at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Camperdown Campus.
The Senior Trial Operations Coordinator in compliance with CTC SOPs, University policies, clinical trial protocols and other regulatory requirements will work in close collaboration with the Clinical Trial Operations Lead and/or Program Manager and Study Chair/Lead Investigator to ensure that the requirements of the clinical trial are addressed appropriately.
The Senior Trial Operations Coordinator develops operational plans for clinical trial(s), impacting the immediate outcomes of the clinical trial(s) they are responsible for.
You will be expected to carry out routine tasks fairly autonomously, with minimal guidance and/or supervision once process/procedure is agreed upon and/or learnt. The Senior Trial Operations Coordinator may also provide guidance to more junior staff members including Trial Operations Coordinators, Ethics Coordinators and Clinical Trial Assistants. Non-routine complex clinical trial matters may be carried out under broad guidance from the Clinical Trial Operations Lead and/or Program Manager, Lead Investigator or Senior Academics. You will be expected to prioritise your own work to meet any deadlines and project needs.
The Senior Trial Operations Coordinator will be familiar with the financial aspects of a clinical trial, including reviewing invoices, and tracking against work orders.

The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills along with excellent organisational, time and workload management skills with demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution skills. They will also have thorough knowledge of ICH Guidelines and Good Clinical Practice.
