About the opportunity 

The primary function of the General Recruitment Assistant (Undergraduate) position is to provide student recruitment support for undergraduate recruitment activities including initiatives and programs for the promotion of the range of alternative pathways offered by the University.  The incumbent will promote the University of Sydney as the preferred destination for Indigenous students considering tertiary study.

The position of the General Recruitment Assistant (Undergraduate) sits within the Undergraduate Student Recruitment Team and is responsible for providing general assistance and support in all activities relating to student recruitment including the recruitment of high-achieving students through the University of Sydney’s Alternative Pathways schemes and implementation of outreach activities in support of the Indigenous student recruitment.

About you

  • a current Driver’s License
  • diploma qualification in a related field and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • good interpersonal and relationship management skills with intercultural awareness
  • demonstrated administrative experience with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • the ability to develop knowledge and understanding of complex information such as the NSW NSC and tertiary admissions process and the University’s range of courses admissions criteria
  • high level oral and written communications skills
  • strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • a high level of computer skills and excellent customer service ethic
