About the opportunity 

The Communications and Research Coordinator will act as a key communication and coordination link between Sydney Global Mobility (SGM) and Marketing and Communications (MarComms) to develop and maintain digital marketing assets to support and advance SGM’s marketing and communications strategy. The incumbent will coordinate and undertake research and analysis to support SGM’s operations and planning.

  • tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, public relations or a related discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience
  • experience in developing and implementing integrated marketing and communications strategies to meet strategic and business requirements
  • significant experience writing and editing targeted communications to meet strategic objectives and create audience advocacy
  • proven capacity to deliver high quality executive-level reports, analysis and business plans
  • highly developed research and analytical skills, with a proven capacity to synthesise, interpret and present conclusions and sound advice
  • proven experience in crafting targeted communications aimed at driving audience interest and behaviour
  • experience using content management systems

Personal or professional experience with study or work abroad programs or significant time spent overseas is highly advantageous

About us

Global Student Recruitment and Mobility (GSRM) is responsible for delivering the University’s objectives in relation to the student offer and profile targets; student recruitment and widening participation; and student mobility and partnerships. GSRM liaises with external partners and internal stakeholders to deliver a high touch, superior student experience through the provision of student recruitment and pathways information, inspiring and tailored events and university experiences from early outreach through to the point of enrolment. GSRM compromises five teams; International Recruitment, SGM, Australia and New Zealand Recruitment, Student Offer (Product) and Operations.

Sydney Global Mobility (SGM) also provides strategic advice on overseas education systems and legislative frameworks, identifying innovative market opportunities for the University to consider and develop. It will also analyse the effects of changes to government policy and legislation on international issues and identify and manage potential risks associated with international activities.
