About the opportunity 

Our University of Sydney’s fundraising campaign INSPIRED continues to achieve overwhelming success and we are now seeking an Annual Giving Associate (Online and New Media Fundraising) to join our team in the Division of Alumni and Development.

You will be responsible for the provision of administrative support for the Annual Giving program including the coordination of online giving, crowd funding and Giving Day (Pave the Way).  Reporting to the Associate Director, Annual Giving you will:

  • contribute to the Annual Giving strategy with the aim to increase donor numbers for the University
  • take an active role in the development and execution of crowd funding projects, coordinating with project teams, Marketing & Communications and Advancement Services
  • participate in the bi-annual ‘briefing/de-briefing’ Annual Giving program meeting
  • coordinate the Student Alumni Association – SAA fundraising initiatives
  • liaise with student volunteers and help them with the planning and execution of face to face or digital fundraising activities.

About you

  • experience in a support role preferably in Direct Marketing, Telemarketing or fundraising
  • the ability to exercise initiative and diplomacy when dealing with a wide range of persons
  • the ability to articulate the University of Sydney’s mission, traditions and excellence with enthusiasm, energy, and creativity in a manner that compels others to action
  • advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office including Power Point, Excel and Microsoft Word and experience with InDesign would be highly regarded.
