About the opportunity

A central element of the University’s Strategic Plan 2016-20 has been the introduction of a new faculty and school structure, including the establishment of a single, integrated Faculty of Medicine and Health, combining the current faculties of Dentistry, Health Sciences, Medicine (Sydney Medical School), Nursing & Midwifery and Pharmacy. The new Faculty of Medicine will be implemented in April 2018 and Sydney Medical School will operate within the new Faculty of Medicine and Health.
The Henry Langley Fellowship shall promote and encourage postdoctoral research into the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in the Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney. In 1988 the University of Sydney established a postdoctoral award for research into the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in accordance with the conditions of a bequest received from Mr Henry Langley in 1970.
The successful applicant will be appointed at an appropriate level within the University of Sydney salary scale for Research Fellows, usually Level B. In addition, an appropriate clinical loading may be paid to eligible fellows.
The Fellowship may not be held concurrently with any other award from the University of Sydney.
