About the opportunity 

The Lecturer (Data Analyst) will work with a team of researchers at the UCRH to: provide epidemiological, statistical and data management advice for a range of health research projects in both design and analysis phases; provide statistical advice and training to higher degree students, clinicians and researchers; conduct statistical analysis for research and evaluation studies; write up research results, prepare research papers and reports for publication; support research translation activities; develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with University data management policies, and; apply for research funding in collaboration with other researchers.

• completed undergraduate degree and postgraduate training in the relevant discipline or equivalent accreditation or standing
• well-developed analytical skills, preferably in the design, implementation, data analysis and reporting of epidemiological based research; research project management; preparing research project for submission for funding
• an understanding of best practice in research data management
• a high level ability in oral and written communication
• demonstrated project management skills
• demonstrated ability to lead and work with multidisciplinary teams of researchers and to work cooperatively with others
• experience in the development and management of epidemiological research projects
• evidence of ability to mentor and/or teach junior researchers
• experience in applying for competitive research funding.

The University Centre for Rural Health (UCRH), with campuses in Lismore, Murwillumbah and Grafton, provides a supportive and cooperative educational environment, exceptional teaching facilities and close, affordable accommodation.
