About the opportunity 

The Educational Designer provides deep technical knowledge and operational support to Academic and Teaching staff across the University to support the migration of units of study from Blackboard to Canvas. Creates, develops, tests and implements educational resources aligned to the needs of the work area.

In this position, you will:

  • be responsible for managing your work priorities and workload in order to complete the migration of sites to the new LMS within agreed timeframes
  • provide deep technical expertise and support to the work area in the creation, development and migration of educational resources to enhance student learning experience
  • provide strategic support and advice to academic and teaching staff on the effective use of educational and multimedia technologies across various programs of study in the Faculty
  • provide operational support to realise the educational design needs of the work area

  • experience working in a tertiary environment with working knowledge of using Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard and/or Canvas
  • experience delivering education programmes, preferably in a tertiary education environment
  • extensive knowledge of University policies and procedures and administrative processes within a tertiary environment
  • excellent time and workload management skills
