About the opportunity
Working within the School of Social and Political Sciences, the position of School Executive Officer is responsible for providing high level administrative and executive support to the Head of School and School Administration Manager. This role manages physical infrastructure, human resources and WH&S and supports all operational activities within the School.
The position will be responsible for providing detailed statistical and business reports on research, education and operational activities, as well as drafting business cases and providing on-going high-level assistance. Having previous administration experience, the incumbent will develop and maintain effective administration systems and practices, and ensure that all relevant policies, processes and procedures are applied.

We are looking for a School Executive Officer who possesses demonstrated expertise in:
- Ability to review policies and procedures and making recommendations for improvements within the School, whilst providing high level administrative and operation support to key stakeholders
- Designing and managing projects, and drafting business cases whilst supporting the strategic plan
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement and discretion in resolving matters
- Excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
